We did a thing. A very merry TwasmonauT thing...
I wrote a song over the last few years that I KNEW was a Christmas song. I ADORE the holiday season in many ways and despise it and it's many Societal faults. Regardless, this song was happening, it was coming. Much like an oncoming birth; it's happening!
The lyrics came easy for me. Each verse developed as a part of my 2020 year, in that they kind of "wrote" themselves. Being Broke and having to provide, Covid-19, My personal response and feelings about Racial turmoil and the the BLM events that occurred, and finally a cancerous finality that I went through years earlier with the passing of my mother and observations of several others in the subsequent years.

I asked my band, Twasmonaut to participate. They said YES as they always seem to do. I then asked a DROVE of Seattle singers and vocalists to contribute their voices to my words and recorded tracks. Almost all of them gave me a resounding Yes... Honored.

During Covid-19 and the year 2020 gathering a group of anyone was irresponsible. A small handful of singers were able/willing to come to Twasmonaut's Fremont-Seattle Studio and record live. The others wanted/opted to record their vocal parts from their respective studio spaces.

This overall effort was amazing. We quickly found out that all participants were excited and eager to do the work. almost ZERO concern for deadline nor studio readiness. Not a single concern for accommodation simply a fervent effort to accommodates and our needs. Tearjerking, to say the least..

Intisaar Jubran, Johndus Beckman, Wyatt Olney, Glenn Cannon, Brandi Carlile, John Evans, Victortrey Funklove, Katrina Lorme, Ayron Jones, Ty Willman, Grace Love, Robert Stewart, Len Hotrum, and Kyyle Cort. Everyone listen above expressed interest and a willingness to participate! Some of our invitees had very pressing schedules that simply did not allow for a solid effort which was received as apologetic and fully appreciated while others jumped at the chance because they must have been either bored or crazy!

What we ended up with was a wonderful collection of voices singing Christmas carol style and a beautiful production value. I couldn't be more please with the outcome and owe a hearty Thank You to all who participated.
